In this role, Michelle has been instrumental in shaping the series’ creative vision, thematic architecture, and development strategy, contributing to the successful raising of initial development capital and guiding the project toward international co-production.
Michelle previously co-created and executive-produced the narrative comedy series DOWN THE MIDDLE, in which she also starred, alongside collaborators including Tom Bergeron. The series was developed through grassroots financing and reflects her commitment to story as a vehicle for social insight and human connection.
Her producing work spans independent film, digital series, immersive performance, and early VR storytelling. She executive-produced and co-created the award-winning short film AFTER, which was recognized as a Top 15 film in the 48 Hour Film Project and screened at the Directors Guild of America, where she was also nominated for Best Actress.
As a founding circle member of Artists for Amazonia, Michelle has supported initiatives including If Not Us Then Who, amplifying Indigenous storytellers and facilitating their connection to global entertainment platforms and cultural leaders.
Her background includes extensive work in immersive and interdisciplinary performance, including collaborations with Teatro Korazón and the SSSTar Initiative, as well as international creative research and production across Greece, Israel, Poland, and the United States. MALTE ROESNER is a producer, story consultant, and artist manager with more than 20 years of experience in music, theater, and classical performance.
